White Fang – Skidoo Active Program | Whitehorse

In the morning the adventure starts as we will leave the hotel at 10:00 AM and drive to the starting point of our snowmobile outing. We will be riding for one hour and then have a stop where we are going to cook sausages over an open fire, drink some warm coffee and do some ice fishing. With a bit of luck, you can catch Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, or Arctic Grayling. In the afternoon, we will go visit the Wildlife Preserve where you will see, in a natural enclosed environment, a variety of the animals you can encounter in the territory. This will be followed by a lovely soak in the warm pools of the Takhini Hot Springs, a favorite of all winter visitors. (Overnight hotel accommodation in Whitehorse)

After a restful night in Whitehorse, we will leave in the morning direction Haines Junction. As we approach the village driving on the Alaska Highway, the view on the St. Elias Mountains becomes more and more breathtaking. Once arrived, we will strap the snow shoes on and walk towards the impressive mountains surrounding Kathleen Lake in the Kluane area. We will then head back to Whitehorse and prepare for our night adventure under the Northern Lights. Around 8:00 PM we will leave the hotel and head out for a snowmobile ride under the dancing sky; a surreal experience that you will not forget anytime soon. Today, we will get to experiment another 100% northern activity. After a good breakfast at the hotel, we will take off for a 2 hours snowmobile ride to get to the starting point of our dog sledding outing. Dog sledding is a huge part of Yukon’s history as it used to be the only way to travel during our long and cold winters. It is now still a big part of our culture with races like the Yukon Quest and the Iditarod happening in the area. After getting your dose of adrenaline from the dog sled ride, we will head back to Whitehorse for a warm meal and one last cozy hotel night. (Overnight hotel accommodation in Whitehorse)

On the last day of the program, Ruby Range Adventure will provide a transfer to the airport or to a connecting program. (End of tour services) Due to the nature of this tour last-minute changes to the itinerary are a possibility and are left up to the discretion of the guide.
